This is going to be such a fun meet!!! Scoring will be 5 for first, then 3, 2, 1! Mu will make her Aggie outdoor debut in the 1500, and Dixon will make his season debut in the 800! Thanks for the thread and link Triniaggie

Charokee Young and Syaira Richardson will be running the 400 and 4x400, the relay will consists of Tierra Robinson Jones, Richardson, Young, and Athing Mu! Should come out and open a 3:25 or 3:26 easily! Sprint relays remain the same runners and Omajuwa Etiwe will run on the 4x400 in place of James Smith!

Jaevin Reed and Julia Madabuike will make outdoor debuts in the 400 and 200 respectively!

With Robinson-Jones running a 51.9 outdoors already our women's mile relay will scary, and should have a possibility of going 3:22 come nationals and break the record!

In addition to Lanier and Clay I wonder why hurdlers James Smith and Andre Turay are not running (Turay injured?) I was also hoping to see sprinter/hurdler Matt Treston make his debut as an Aggie. Gonna be close for each both women and men!

I think James Smith was a hamstring issue as he pulled up running the 4x400 last weekend, but it might have been an aggravation of straining his hamstring indoors! I know in the first outdoor meet Turay DNF his 110 hurdles race so maybe he fell or hurt something there! And yeah it's going to be a close close meet, but fun to follow!

anybody in Austin care to chime in about the weather before I traverse that way; greatly appreciate it.
Don't know if I should sit this one out. Myers still doesn't allow umbreallas and I don't know if the parking lots will be manned or not.

I live in San Antonio and it's a little cloudy and drizzly but it's supposed to clear up around the afternoon so I think the running events should be good to go! So hopefully the weather complies! And I think on their preview they said the Manor garage right near the stadium would be open for use and the price usually isn't that bad!

After a slight rain delay... field events set to begin soon! We'll have are 4 girls triple jumping and all rank in the top 20 in the nation! Deborah Acquah (1), Ciynamon Stevenson (8), Lajarvia Brown (11), and Lamara Distin (15). Josh Brown (30) will throw in the discus! Sean Clarke (13) and Zach Davis (73) will lead a group of 5 aggies in the discus!

Josh Brown wins the discus with a slight seasons best of 179-11 and redshirt freshman Pablo Zolezzi places 4th! In the women's hammer two freshman go 3-4 to UT's 1-2

The great thing is that they both only had one foul each and were throwing consistently all meet! In the women's triple jump, Cinyamon Stevenson and Lajarvia Brown foul their first attempts

Lajarvia Brown and Ciynamon Stevenson have a combined 9 fouls between them... Alesia Piruccio and KJ Grimes go 1-2 in the hammer, and Michael Schmul, and Zach Davis are both 16'8.75 in the pole vault!

Aggies go 1-2-4-5 in the women's triple jump!

Ags go 1-2-3 in the men's pole vault with Davis, Schmul, and Sean Clarke all going 17-8

Both sprint relays lose and were almost a second slower so I wonder if they changed runners or tried others out?

She strikes again! Moving up a distance Athing Mu wins the 1500 with a huge time of 4:16 and Annie Fuller comes in fourth dropping back with a time of 4:29

sucks to see Annie Fuller so out of shape! I'm hoping she can regain her momentum and get her endurance back before conference! She has a pr of 4:17

Women have a rough showing in the hurdles going 2-4-6... Kennedy Smith 13.34 and Kaylah Robinson 13.41... Summer Thorpe DNF for second meet in a row

The women will have to crush TX in in the HJ to win this meet - have a chance to do that.

Even at that, only the top two from each school can score so at most we can get 8 points and tu will get 3 so it's only a 5 point margin! It's a weird dual meet scoring rule! Even if we go 1-2-3-4-5 the most we get is 8 and the other team will still get 3

Upset in the women's 400, Aggies go 2-3-4 with Charokee a young running 51.52, Syaira Richardson going 52.73, and Tierra Robinson Jones going 52.85

yes - I am just starting to see that; didn't think that was standard scoring for a dual meet

The women's throws are going to kill us! They have zero quality throwers, they would struggle to make the 6A state meet in discus and shot put to be frank. UT will go 8-3 in all 4 throwing events

yeah it's pretty much a useless scoring method! We have more quality athletes but UT has more numbers and depth so they'll win on the women's side, the sprints will shape the men's race and I think we come out on top!

It's crazy how we went from Shelbi Vaughn, Maggie and Audrey Malone, Brea Garrett who were world class dominant collegiate throwers to the girls throws program we have now, where our top shot putter is a heptathlete and our top discus throwers can't get over 140! I have faith in Chico and we're getting a stud recruit coming in next year but it's hard to see them as nonexistent this year

In the men's 400 Texas goes 1-2-3 and we place 4th-9th without Deadmon running of course

With the rough performances today I hope we're just training through this meet in preparation to show out at home next week!

it doesn't appear that Jon Bishop is running today either

Another Longhorn sweep in the women's 100, Aliu did not run for us though

Yeah having our top distance guy out almost guarantees TU sweeping those events, James Smith and Allon Clay are out for the men as well!

Tu women sweep the 800 and the pole vault as we have no girls clear 12 feet lol

Cinyamon Stevenson fouls out of the long jump! This problem is derailing her season!
