Devin Dixon continues his poor season running 1:51

Tyra Gittens fouls out, tu is 1-2-3-4 through 3 jumps in the long jump, and 1-2-3 in the shot put... really really poor showing today!

We are not competitive in the distance events and several throwing event. When I looked at the entries I knew the scores wouldn't be close on the women side.

Dominique Mustin with a huge PR of 58.48 in the 400 hurdles which currently puts her 13th in the country

yeah it's been a rough showing, we don't have the numbers or quality in women's distance events or throwing...

Lamara Distin couldn't get over 1.73m and ended up with NH

It's been a rough day for the jumpers... hopefully Tyra can make up for it in the high jump! Where's already over 6'0 with no misses!

Lance Broome drops a nice 20.83 in the 200! Hopefully he can continue to drop that and secure a bid to the national prelims

Our short sprinters and hurdlers have been very inconsistent. Kaylah Robinson much slower than last week to run 13.41 from 13.17 in the 100 m hurdles. Yeboah went from 10.34 to 10.87 in 100m. Still haven't seen Summer Thorpe. Julia Madubuike DNS. We have a lot work to do if we can potentially score in the short sprints and hurdles at SECs and make NCAA, outside Devon Achane.

EXACTLY! I was hoping the hurdlers would carry their momentum from last week, but it's looking like indoors again! The bright side is Broome and Owens who were both running well before being sidelined due to to Covid protocols indoors have had a great day and are right where they left off! I just hope they can continue to improve! And I know on YouTube Dixon was talking about easing into the season and peaking around nationals and Olympic trials but through 3 races he has not been himself!

This was very strange to see! I'm not sure if this could be related to the dual scoring and some athletes not willing to do other events than their own or people taking a small meet like this off??? Maybe it could've been an overreaction to a thing like fouling or some sorts. But for those words to come out into the public like that, Coach Henry must really be infuriated! Hopefully the team can pull together! Thankfully we have a nice home meet coming up and the athletes can compete in front of their friends and family on a track they're comfortable on! Hopefully we can see Tyra in the pent, Athing in the 800 or 400, and Dewitt Thomas in the 400 hurdles!

Emphasis is mine. Wow. There is trouble in paradise.

Pat has always been very straight forward about attitudes and effort. I don't see it as out of the norm.

It didnt help that our kids sat on a bus or under the football stadium in the cool rain for a few hours while the texas kids were im their comfortable locker rooms. Home field advantage but we have to perform better.

Even though he is preparing for the Olympics I think it was a very slow race 1.49, so running 1.51 shows the form he is in. The Devin I know would conserve energy and would have won that race. Can't remember the last time he would have run 1.51. He was also changed from anchoring the 4x400 also. Mpoke anchored for the team.
Coach Henry would always say to get better every week and he is not much of a believer into athletes peaking.
