It is time to start the talk about the match this weekend. The big question is can the good guys pull of the upset at home against the Bears?

This is a big test for this team. I think the players and coaching staff have pointed to this home match and believe this to be a statement match. Where do the Ags get the 4 points to win this match? I look forward to the analysis on how we win.

I hope the crowd will be pumped and ready to support the team. That factor could make a big difference.

I hope the Ags win more then anything. But for them to pull if off they will need some huge step up performances from the guys at 5,6 I think. To count on your top 3 to all win is going to be a little tough considering the talent that is atop Baylor's lineup. If you look on paper and rankings, the Ags are definitely the underdog, but stranger things have happened especially when you are the home team. The ags will definitely need huge performances from their leaders and senior, khaled. Cook has beaten Dorsch before and with the match being in Aggieland, the conditions are about as good as they could get for the Ags. I wish them the best of luck.

Did everyone see what Baylor did to TCU. Those guys are coming in hot. Baylor is as tough as they might ever have been right now. I would put them in with Illinois and Ole Miss right now as legitimate threats to win the whole thing. I think winning the doubles point is a must against them b/c taking 4 singles spots seems almost unlikely. Some of the guys have been struggling as of late, its goin to take a huge effort to beat the Bears.

Based on the lineup Baylor has been using for the last month or so, here's how I'd expect it to look:

Singles:
#1 - Dorsch vs. Lester
#2 - Becker vs. Ante
#3 - Marin vs. Dakki
#4 - Zgaga vs. Joelson
#5 - Neurohr vs. Khaled or Loucks
#6 - Lovrak vs. Khaled or Loucks

Doubles:
#1 - Dorsch/Zgaga vs. Lester/Ante
#2 - Becker/Marin vs. Rolle/Joelson
#3 - Neurohr/Lovrak vs. Dakki/Khaled

Now who knows if this is really what we'll be seeing come Saturday or not. For us to win, I'd expect that we'd need to win doubles (which would almost require Lester and Ante to win at #1), take 2 of 3 from #1-#3 singles, and then win either #5 or #6 singles.

It's going to be a tough task, but I think with the crowd behind them, that our guys will be up to the challenge.

Expect knoll to stack his lineup once again and play Becker at 3 or 4 and Dorsch at 2 or 3. He'll probably play his doubles team straight, but I would be shocked if he played his singles lineup as suggested. Expect something underhanded by a grease-ball of a coach.

What exactly would be underhanded?

Stack the line up? Baylor does not have to stack the line up with the level of players on the roster. We have to hope the God's of tennis put a bad day in the hands, feet and minds of key Baylor players.

Don't expect a doubles point, and we may split in singles, but even with the home crowd your looking at 4-3 Baylor, at least on paper, based on results so far.

But like a famous sports caster always said, on any given day, any team can beat any other team.

We need it to be windy and cool, and the 12th Men need to be LOUD.

We need to be many and we need to be loud, maybe even as crass as a Baylor Bear fan. I didn't know southern baptists could talk like a sailor. I learned they could last year in Waco.

Anybody speak German? we could use some obnoxius cat calls in German.

Ags40Luv is right on target. We need to be completely over the top on Saturday. Regardless of all the variables which can impact a match, we must be focused and determined to play our best match of the year. Is this possible....of course it is. We need our fans to be at an emotional pitch unlike anything we have seen this year. We should be so lucky as to catch Baylor on an "off day" but we can't count on that. We are fully capable of winning this match, but capability and reality are often very different. It should be a great day in Aggieland, and we need all of our fans to be in attendance. The guys have the ability to take Gaylor. Yes Gaylor has some good players but they arent much if any better than our guys in talent. This match is going to come down to if the guys want it bad enough which I think some of them do, but I dont know about all of them. It will also come down to how crazy the fans can get, I will be at chillifest because I seem to be unliked by serveral people (a.k.a. media dept people and coaches) because I am a "jerk" or whatever else but if these close matches dont start going our way I am going to have to come back in force against the gaylor care-bears or whoever it might be. I WILL be there for tu and chesseburger though for sure, I got some unsettled beef. (no pun intended)

I think to say that atm players are all as talented as the Baylor players might be going a little far. All 6 of those players on that baylor team, have had or have ATP points. For gosh shakes dorsch and zgaga made the finals in doubles at a Challenger, not a future. I think Dakki, Cook, and Ante would all for certain have place on Baylor's team. But after that, I think its far fetched the other guys would be in their. Lovrak is a number 2,3 if Baylor didnt have 5 other guys like him. Its going to take a hostile crowd. A little let down on Baylors part and some aggies to play the best match they have played to date. I hope they pull it out. It sure would be great to see.

Hey Jchrebel who are you dude? Don't worry about those people who hate you I believe most of the people that run the tennis facility are jerks. I've met Cass and I though he was very classy, but all the other staff are complete idoits and retards. I am sure your voice will be needed but hey have fun at chilli fest and drink a beer for me.

i think the crowd will be a huge factor. If they can be real loud, i think the baylor guys might get nervous, and our guys get firey, Some of oiur boys love the energy, so if you are gonna make it, be as loud as it gets. I will be going crazy and screaming like a mad man for the aggs

Aggie11, I didnt have any for ya at chilifest but I had a few to many last night after it. The cops were horrible out there, 8 cars pulled over by state troopers on the way plus 1 trooper was randomly searching cars, pretty retarded if you ask me. To answer your question though I was the manager for the mens team last year. I will be there for the tu match for sure though. I figured if I get banned or some crap from the center it might as well be for good old fat chesseburger and the the rest of those clowns at tu.

Hey that sucks about chilifest I went there one year and had a blast. Hey the tu match is in Austin this year I will be there for sure. I graduated last August and now I am in grad school but not at A&M...So u should make it out for the tu match.

Let's get one thing straight from the start, Rebel...this is NOT, I REPEAT NOT Steve Miller. Who I am is unimportant...but my information is true and accurate. I know people inside the program who can confirm my information, as well as a local attorney who helped broker the deal between you and the athletic department that kept you outta jail and from a criminal record. 

I guess the Aggie code means nothing to you. Some of us "old Ags" still hold that code close and dear to our hearts. We have lived by that code since we started school at A&M. The Aggie code is more than just words...it's about integrity and honor and loyalty and caring for your fellow man. Someone like you does not deserve to be called an Aggie! Since you lied and stole....I cannot tolerate you, nor should fellow Aggies.

I don't know or want to know anything about all of this, but I hope we can let it drop. It does not help the tennis program or texags to have this type of thing going on a public forum.

Raven, it is unfortunate, but true. Rebel just decided to leave out the true reason he was asked to not return to the tennis center. But because I respect you Raven, this will be the last I say about this.

And just to set the record straight, I have NO association with A&M or the athletic department. I am a friend and supporter of the men's and women's tennis programs. What Rebel did affected me and the program much worse than by me coming on here and talking about it. After reading his posts and hearing comments from others, I felt the need to let the truth be known. Having done that, I will now take my leave of TexAgs....you all can have it!
