I didn't see a forum dedicated to MMA and was curious if I may have missed it or if there are any other Aggie martial arts practitioners or fans on TexAgs?

I think it would be sweet to have one dedicated so we can discuss upcoming UFC, Bellator, etc. Cards, matchups, potential fights, and practicing martial arts in general.

I'd love to connect with anyone on here who is in that boat whether you're a fan or you practice martial arts!

There's a Brazilian Jiu-Jiutsu thread on Health and Fitness, but it's all training focused (gyms, diet, cardio, etc). Posting is kind of sporadic.

I have BJJ background and train frequently. Always up to talk grappling. Haven't kept up with much MMA recently but I always follow Valentina Schevchenko's fights (trained BJJ with her prior to her fights with Amanda Nunes). She's a beast.

Woodley got his ass beat. I don't know if his strategy was just to be defensizve and throw that overhand. But Covington straight took it to him.

Was pretty bored by round 2 and was just watching to see how vicious of a beating Covington was going to put down.

Yeah, that was such a one-sided title fight. Idk if Costa was trying to reserve energy for a five-round fight or if Adesanya is that good but should of been way more aggressive like he normally is.

Costa should've tried to negate Izzy's reach advantage and been more aggressive with grappling IMO. Stylebender is honestly ridiculous though, might have to consider jumping to LHW to really be challenged

Yeah, I agree, you aren't going to be able to strike with Israel at this point. It's crazy there aren't many grapplers that pose a threat in that division.

Being a Conor fan (I know, I know, in my defense I've been an MMA fan long before Conor, but I just love watching him fight) I wish he had a division of just strikers, or else he might still be undefeated. If there was a Khabib in the middleweight division I don't see Stylebender keeping it on the feet.

I am not a fan of watching Marty. He fight a very boring fight when i watch. I missed the Colby and burns fight where he struck. I just get really annoyed when he clinches up and stomps on guys feet.

On the same note I was not a fan of Jorge at first but he has really grown on me.
