The start of that descent looked pretty awesome and fun to ride.

So with tomorrow being considerably shortened - 59k just going straight to the final climb - what can we actually expect? Unless Bernal burnt too many matches today (very unlikely), I don't think anyone can get away from him. Additionally, there might be fight for the polka dots with SIX riders able to take the jersey to Paris with a win tomorrow - those include Yates, Quintana, and Bernal.

Should be a very strange "final" stage.

Edit: I think the podium is 1. Bernal, 2. Thomas, 3. Kruijswijk; and I think the stage ends with Thomas winning while escorting Bernal on his wheel.

The Saturday stage is going to be basically a 59km sprint, attacks everywhere.

That was super anticlimactic. Happy for Bernal though.

Exciting finish! You could tell K and B and their teams were both trying to pull away at various points and couldn't. Bernal hung tough. It seemed like he was drifting back a bit at times but he hung in.
The fans were very nutty and made quite a spectacle.
My wife and 11 year old daughter who were both NOT INTRESTED at all were sucked in by the finish.

He's a domestique - a role player. Hell of a good time trial rider and the engine that kept Sunweb competitive in the team time trial, but he's not a GC competitor. He's under contract with Sunweb on a 2 year deal and will have no trouble re-upping with them or any other UCI squad for as long as he wants to compete.

Honestly, since he won a stage at the giro, he is probably close enough to having the leverage to ask to be put on a grand tour team with an eye on a specific stage.
Thanks, Wangus and Blindey !

You bet. Fun to watch and awesome to see an actual Aggie in the professional peloton. If your on Twitter, follow Chad. He's got a great presence. Honestly, I hope he already taking lessons in voice and spoken word so he can make his way into the broadcast booth when he's done riding.

Also, in an absolute shock to literally no one, Julian Alaphilippe was named the super combative rider for the tour.

They're on the champs Elise. Should be a fun last stage. Wonder which sprinter will take it.
