How does one "buy" a seat in F1 exactly? I see that this guy's dad is a fashion mogul so he spent the coin, but is it an investment of some sort? Does someone front the money in hopes that they secure a sponsor once they're on the team? Didn't Lauda do something like that?

I had completely forgotten about her. Remember the Milka and Danica cat fight?
There's a pretty funny YouTube video of the top 10 Milka crashes. She tore up a lot of equipment.

I like Verstappen as a dark horse in the title fight. I don't know what to make of Vettel in testing, so I'll ride the chalk and say Mercedes and Hamilton.
