I hope to not stir the hornets nest, but as best I've gathered over the last couple of years, we had an assistant coach leave that was an excellent recruiter.

Makes sense.

When Pat left LSU many at LSU (even inside the program) thought they would be ok because they promoted from within who they thought was doing a lot of the coaching and recruiting. They weren't that lucky.

ARK and LA schools can offer academic money which makes attendance actually cheaper that A&M. Also, Both, ARK and LSU have outstanding outdoor facilities which makes it more attractive in the recruiting process. With that said, we have outstanding coaches and have diversified nicely over the past few years with multi's and PV. 3 MEN PV in the top 4 with wooten hurt. 4 really good multi's. Lost one women with transfer to tu over summer to be with her BF and 2 HJ for various reasons.

Things will get better soon with next year recruits looking really good. Keep hearing the outdoor track may break ground soon.

Last, A&M is really built for outdoor national championships not indoor.
