The speed tracks are shaping up to be boring races at the front with that Mercedes power. Speaking of boring, Monaco. I know that's sacrilege to purist but there's just no room on that track. I do like watching the cars go through the Nouvelle Chicane though.

Word is that Hammy is set to sign a 120 million pound! 3 year contract at Monaco.

My DVR cut out when the power went out here on Sunday, so I didn't get to watch the race.

Looking forward to Monaco next weekend, though.

Rossi finished 2nd in the feature race at Monaco.

Great timing for an F1 race on NBC in H-tine.

They just threw the race away.

Second time this year they've done that to Louis.

I didn't get to watch. But it sounds like a monumental **** up by the team. That's not how they wanted to kick off the new 3 year deal.

Just finished watching on the DVR....I can't believe they had him pit. To his credit, he refused the throw the team under the bus. We'll see how he responds in two weeks in Montreal.

Other thoughts:

Good to see McLaren back in the points.

Max is going to win a lot of races in the future, but he misjudged Grosjean's speed, I guess. Glad he came out of that ok, it looked pretty bad live.

I thought the Race in Montreal was done for? But they are racing there tomorrow. Did the city throw some money to save it?

The race is definitely on. Qualifying was today. It is fruitless for me to try and keep up with the politics and sporting regs of F1.
It's clear to me that engineers have greater influence on the outcome of the races than the drivers and that Bernie is selling out to the highest bidders. Pretty soon they'll be racing in all desert kingdoms and banana republics with no deference to the traditional (and great) F1 tracks.

Brilliant drive by Vettel. There probably wasnt much doubt before but Kimi insured that he won't get offered again by Ferrari. Props to Bottas and Williams.

Scary collision between Kimi and Fernando on lap 1 was about it for excitement in this race. Great start by Nico, and Lewis never threatened after the pit stops (even without the 5 second penalty for cross the line on pit-out, he wouldn't have been able to catch and pass Rosberg, I don't think).

well boys i got my tickets to Silverstone in the mail the other day. this will be my first in person F1 race. i will only be there for race day Sunday. but, i'll take as many pics as possible.

will be at the Merc and Porsche museums tomorrow and will be picking up a Merc F1 hat.

That's awesome! I was hoping to go to the Belgian GP next year for my 40th birthday, but damn National Guard annual training is scheduled for that time.

Let's just say I learned a lot and had a wonderful time and will be doing it again.

Much more exciting race this week, thanks to the great starts by the Williams guys. Slow pit stops by them, and a lightning stop for Hamilton hurt them, though, then the rain came.

Kimi came in a few laps too early for Inters, but man did Lewis and his pit wall time it perfectly or what (Seb, too)? Sealed the win for Lewis and vaulted Seb onto the podium.

I was hoping nico would come in immediately and gamble on full wets. just to make it interesting.

Tavo Hellmund is apparently looking to buy an existing F1 team (Manor), and have a second US-based team in 2016.

Looks like Bottas to Ferrari next year. Good for him. Just a guess, but Kimi is out of the sport next year. He's 35 and a former world champion. Can't see him in a second tier seat. I liked watching him drive.

I don't believe I've ever seen so many penalties in a race. Congrats to Seb, terrific drive. Won that race straight off the line. Kimi has no luck at all. A little bit of patience by Nico would have likely put him in the points lead, but no.
