Starts tomorrow (3-27-14). Who will win it all? How will the Ags do?

I will be at finals Thursday night. Hopefully will see Troskot and Bolleter in the 50 free. I haven't kept up with specific teams to guess who will be top 3. I think Texas will wind up better than the psych sheet based scoring. Looking forward to seeing Jack Conger racing.

Mens 200 free relay prelim swim was OK although they are 7th. Watching the horrible live streaming feed our relay starts looked very conservative so there should be a chance to improve.

7th going in with a good amount of room to improve. Solid start to the meet. PMS keeps on impressing everyone with that speed.

Unfortunately Troskot and Bolleter did not have good swims in the 50 this morning. That's a shame because both had seed times good enough to get in the B final and score points.

Nothing short of average relay! Tons of room to improve.
50's were terrible. No fire in the belly. Troskot looked on fire IN w-ups, like he was ready. Coaching. Should've had 2 B finalists.
This is the NC's. What you work for all year.

I wouldn't call it average -- it was .02 off the school record. Troskot could be a little faster. The relay starts weren't awful. Bottom line is we made the A final -- unlike many teams today who didn't. The 400 medley relay qualifying was a bloodbath.

I will be watching live tonight.

Dang the 200 IMers are fast. 1:42.25 to make the A final. These guys swim IMs faster than 90% of college swimmers can swim freestyle.

Very disappointed in the huge number of 400MR DQs. Kevin Cordes split 49.95 in breaststroke! (looks like he was the early takeoff). I wanted to see him race tonight.

DQ! That sucks.

SwimSwam tweeted there have been 13 DQs so far. I've never been to a high level meet with this many DQs. Wow.

Super aggressive starts. Video review too so they are legit.

Dressel would have won finals. Didn't somebody go 18.8 at conference?

DeBorde was faster at SEC's. He was seeded at 18.88. Maybe he should have kept his beard.

The 50 was probably the most disappointing race tonight. Really not that fast. Makes it even more frustrating that no Aggie was in the race tonight. The relay DQ is VERY costly. Zero points tonight. I think the Aggies may only score in two more races - the 400 free relay and the 800 free relay. I don't see any Aggie making any finals the rest of the meet.

500 free was incredible - and that race is not exactly a spectator favorite. 4:10 means the winner split 50 secs on average. Anyone who has ever raced freestyle can appreciate how fast that is. Jack Conger ended up fizzling tonight.

The 200 IM was sick fast.

Texas is in 1st by 1 point - thanks to 31 points from divers. I rarely root for Texas but I wanted Texas to show Cal and Stanford something. They swam really well tonight - and dove extremely well. I was happy Hixon beat Stanford's Ipsen in diving.

Saw a bit of swimming royalty tonight. Sitting behind me was the Cal rooting section. It included Anthony Ervin. Cool to see him in person. Doesn't look like a guy who can swim 50M long course in 21+ seconds. Jonte Skinner, who swam for Alabama a long time ago, was nearby.

The Ags are in serious danger of missing the Top 25. They avoided a zero via Simon Frank's solid 400 IM swim.

The 800 free relay was slow, adding 6 seconds.

The only chance the Ags have to score more points is in the 400 free relay. The Ags stand in 37th place. 25th place right now has 14 points. They need at least an 11th place in the 400 relay. We are seeded 16th and not swimming well.

I'VE SEEN 'EM WIN, I'VE SEEN 'EM LOSE, BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN 'EM QUIT! BTHO DAY 3!

Angry face is the right one.

No Aggie men swimming tonight with the 400 free relay at 17th. Not sure why Landau didn't swim the relay. Is he sick?

PMS swam a good leg.

So at this year's NCAA we will score 3 points.

Sad to see the season end like this. This team is better than their NCAA finish. DQing that relay seems like it took the wind out of their sails for the entire meet. They've got to be more mentally strong than that. They had their chances in the other two free relays.

Without their DQ the Ags would be 20th - after 200 back.

This is the worst NCAA I can remember for the men - and I have been watching since the Matt Rose days.

It is very disappointing. This team is like some of our past teams - wholly dependent on a few relays to score points. One DQ is deadly.

Proud of Simon Frank for his solid races so far.
