Looking at yesterday's results - 16th place in men's 200IM was a 1:48.38. Winner swam 1:43.01.

Slowest in the A final of women's 500 free was 4:43.

Top 16 50 free times in women were all under 23, though not all swam that fast in finals. Winner was 21.35. All but one men's 50 free in top 16 was under 20.

Our men have their work cut out for them in the SEC.

Looks like we'll be bumping those 4:43's out next year because we're nearly as loaded as Georgia there.

There is a live blog going on collegeswimming.com for anyone that would like to hear/see results of events race by race as well as talk about them.

I think our women will be very competitive from day one except in sprint freestyle :-(

Not sure where we are in 200IM. Beisel won yesterday with a 1:54. With Henry, we are double-strong in the 400IM. But Beisel swam a very strong 4:03 today.

59.95 in women's 100 breast in prelims from a freshman. Breeja shouldn't have a problem. But Sogar would!

15 guys under 20 in the 50 prelims!

Local girl (Clear Lake/Houston) Sarah Peterson made the B final in 2oo IM for Auburn. She's a Frosh and a good kid.

Madeline Locus (Georgia), a freshman from Fort Bend county, finished 4th in the 50 with a 22.10. She swam a very nice 1:47.68 200 free in prelims this morning for 8th seed tonight.

The mens 200 free must have been a great race to watch. Very tight race. I'll be logging on for finals.

Thanks for the links!

Locus went 1:45 last year at NCSAs before getting sick.

I wonder if you really have to take all of your teams to the SEC. Maybe they should rethink it as it sure does look like A&M has no way/no chance of ever getting more than last.

On a brighter note, it will sure let this board give their ever loving "fan" optimism to the men's team.

yes because our guys have no history of going under 1:19 (3rd at SECs) in the 200 FR every....single...year.

thanks for the links Spice

yes, this reality check has a way of ruining any fantasies any of us may be having about the pending outcome next month.

even with B.M. graduating, I was/am still expecting more out of this crew this year
