Brianne Theisen, who is the #1 seed coming in from Oregon is only a freshman I believe.
Through 2 events, she's about on pace with what she did at Pac-10's. Her hurdles were a little faster at NC's, and her high jump was a little lower. She is just all around solid in everything but the shot, but only won the high jump at Pac-10's, so expect her to just hold steady around top 5 or 6 in most events, and the competitors will slip back.
Mcfaddin, the other Oregon girl, jumped the same high jump and was about .10 slower in her hurdles today. Her best events are the 800 and the throws, so look for her to surge up in the remaining events.
Doesn't seem like the Oregon girls are doing particularly poorly, just the field is passing them. Expect them both to finish in the money.
