That was a pretty entertaining race. I have never been a Gordon fan but I am rooting for the old(er) guy to finally break his winless streak.

And Jr. is gonna lose a serious % of fans if he keeps on getting DNFs. Especially after the BS punt last week. I don't care what he says - he lost his head for a second and intentionally wrecked Vickers. Pretty amazing that he didn't get a 5 lap penalty for it but it's nice to have the correct last name.

I don't know, he's a good driver, but he's got one hell of an attitude.

Yea I transferred loyalty from Bill to Kasey. They still haven't found their groove. He's a bit of a head case during the race. Gets way too excited.

Just bought a 52" Sony Bravia, Direct TV will be out tomorrow to set up the HD/DVR.
Can't wait to see and hear Vegas in HD!!!!

well i've followed jr since he was racing in the old busch series... i love him. say what you want bout jr, but i loved that he took out vickers and kyle busch to boot. kinda reminded me of dale Sr out there...

Interesting race because of the engine failures. I don't think I've ever seen the top teams have this problem early in the season.

It's good to see JJ struggle and I can't beleive I'm rooting for Jeff to break his winless streak.

oops sorry, i meant kenseth, i have a friend who really likes kahne and for some reason i was thinking about him in place of kenseth.

didnt catch the race yesterday, apparently everyone was slipping and sliding (or at least the hendrick cars were)

McMurray had an incredible save yesterday.

Hard to tell there but it was amazing - he drifted around most of the corner waaaaay sideways.

JG pulled a Jr and slide pass the pit entry and then flat spotted his left front. It is not very often that you blow up a tire and rip up the entire front quarter panel and stay at speed.

In the old car that would have been a huge wreck. With the CoT and that wing sticking out there to grab the air and keep the car from going all the way around, it has been great watching some the saves since the swich. This one has to be one of the best, so far!

That one was MUCH better quality. That wing is ugly but it makes for some pretty saves.

Another cool replay was the in-car cockpit view of Kahne when he went spinning towards the inside wall.

you know, thinking about that slide around the corner from last week... if you ever played MarioCart on one of the older systems (snes, 64), that was the best way to win, drift around the corners

Nice thread. Just spotted it so want to chime in.

That was a dominating performance by elder Bush at Atlanta, yesterday, Sunday. I think it foretells of things to come... If you had painted the 18 on the Blue Duce you would have thought it was the younger Bush and what he has been doing. they drive so similar. Agressive and dominant.

The 48 doesn't seem to have it this year for a 4rth title.
Gordon does look good this year. He seems to be on a mission.
Edward's team seems to be down a notch from where they were previously. He's still good, but something seems off. I don't think he will be the one to upset Johnson at the top.

Still very early but the Bush brothers seem to be 'game on!' Man, can they get after it!

And OMG that tire carrier. Wow.

And btw - I think I'm gonna sign up for track pass or whatever the online scoring service is called. Having the live lap times available on my lap top while watching the race increases the enjoyment factor immensely.

I am not a short track fan either but I do like Bristol. I will record Martinsville and watch parts of it.

Another very good race, can't stand either Busch but have to respect that run by little Busch. The second grove has made Bristol less of a bang'em race and more side-by-side racing. It was nice to see guys able to pass one another, instead of knocking them out of the way and causing a wreck.
