Super Bowl is this weekend!!

That means the Super Bowl of NASCAR is just weeks away!

The Bud Shootout is a week from Saturday, Feb 7th!!!

Does Jimmy go for four?

Does Jr make a run at his first?

Does Gordon get his fifth?

Will Mark Martin become the oldest champion in NASCAR history?

Or did K. Busch learn some thing last year?

How is Tony's new team going to perform?

is Kenseth ready to reclaim point at Roush Fenway?

Will the economy affect sponsorships to the point that some teams will have to close shop?

These are some of my questions for the start of '09, what are yours?

I have never watched nascar

Warning if you ever do start watching it and once you pick a favorite driver you will find out why there are so many NASCAR fans and NO we don’t like watching wrecks! When a wreck happens it takse out my favorite driver and then I have no reason to watch. You don’t have to worry about your favorite driver being traded to a team you don’t like or can’t see their games. It is great!

Or are you talking about wrecks? Maybe that is the problem with NASCAR. Most of their fans can't read or write words other than Ford, Chevy, Dodge, or Tide. They are uncomfortable with numbers that aren't 3 or 8 or 33 and on the side of a car.

My pick for this year would be Greg Biffle. He has won a championship in the Trucks and Busch/Nationwide/Camping World series. He has been in the Chase 3 of the last 4 years and has been a top 10 driver ever since he joined the cup series. This will be the year of the Bif.

The Bif winning it would be OK with me. I just hope Stewart-Haas can give my driver, Ryan Newman, a good car. Can't be much worse than he's had the last couple of years with Penske. Last year's Daytona 500 excepted, of course. I'm not holding my breath too much for the team's first year, though.

It will be interesting to see how much the ban on testing levels the field. Although I have respect for the accomplishments of Knaus and Johnson (in that order, IMO), I'd like to see someone else win it this year and I think they got a big boost from lots of testing in past years.

Stewart-Haas is basically a Hendrick team. They have Hendrick cars, engines, tech data, ets. There's no way that can't be successful. I would like to see Tony win it all again, but I think this year will be harder for him then he thinks.

Those wusses need to quit having rain delays. I say pull the slicks, put some tires with tread on and go back to it.

If they would have just cut out all that crap at the beginning we could have watched an entire race!!!!!!!

i would like to announce that I am no longer a Jr. fan.

I did the obligatory follow because of his daddy, but the dude has just proven to be a dewsh on a regular basis.

maybe itll come back after i get over my anger at him for wrecking everyone but right now, well, its really fair-weather, but i gota go with Kyle Busch. I just like how he drives (and really, how can you not?)

I do have a MAJOR problem with the way guys are pushing cars below the yellow line. What is going to happen the next time and instead of going below the yellow line the car with the run stops turning at the line, what then????? Whose fault is it then??

NASCAR says to act like the double yellow line is a “wall”. They have to do a better job of policing guys that push the car below the yellow line, if they don’t this will not be the last time you see this type of wreck.

Disappointed the 24 didn't win. It'll happen soon enough though. But WTH at Jr not finishing.
