I've been to Heritage BBQ a few times, when I get back to Oceanside. It pretty good stuff Central TX Style. I get that way at least few times a year to see some of former Marine brothers but also for work conferences.

Very long lines on weekends!

I think 10am is about the latest you'd want to show up on a Saturday or Sunday. Luckily Cosmic is a nice place to hang. If you can, show up early, grab a coffee, and hang in line.

Well I'm open to any suggestions to balance wait time with food quality. I'll have some free time while my wife runs around with her friend that is getting married. I plan to hit a mountain bike ride and try to get bbq after if I can.

I'll also add few more to Wadd96 list - These places don't have long wait times. Pretty easy to get in and get some great BBQ. Mums BBQ off Manor Road, Valentina BBQ off Menchaca Road, Moreno BBQ also off Menchaca Road, Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew off Lamar & or the Switch BBQ off Hargraves Dr

The burger is so good it actually makes you wonder if you should get it or the bbq. It's the best in Fort Worth.

I've heard Daynes burgers are awesome. Unfortunately I think they only do them on Thursday and Friday now. I've never been but it's definitely on my BBQ bucket list.
