On the victory…

“It felt awesome. Coming into the game, we wanted revenge against Tennessee. We knew we had to come in and execute the game plan that the coaches told us to do on the offensive end and defensive end. Down the stretch of the game, we kept our composure and  were able to execute on the offensive end and knock down shots and free throws.”

On battling Tennessee’s run to start the second half…

“We kept our composure coming into the second half. We knew that we would make a huge run. We kind of took their best shot in the first half, so we knew that we just had to keep our game plan and keep executing early in the second half.”

On what it means to beat Tennessee…

“Playing against Tennessee alone is something a lot of basketball players dream of. It was a great experience for us. We were able to pull it out. I think being able to go back-and-forth with them down the stretch shows what great of a composure team we are. We were able to keep control and hold our own against a top-10 team.”

On the play of Courtney Walker…

“Courtney Walker is a freshman, and she has come a long way since the start of the season. We know that she has that mid-range game so down the stretch we just gave her the ball and told her just to take the pull up. Even though she was one-for-five in the first half, we trusted her enough to give her the ball in the second half at a crucial time.”

On their opponent in the SEC Championship game…

“Honestly, it doesn’t matter who we play. Like I said, we’re just going to come out and execute whatever game plan we have.”
