Friday’s update

Texas A&M and No. 21 South Carolina meet on Saturday in Columbia, but before we get to kickoff, the SEC will release availability reports on the following schedule:

  • Wednesday: 7:10 p.m. CT
  • Thursday: 7:10 p.m. CT
  • Friday: 7:10 p.m. CT
  • Saturday: 90 minutes before kickoff (12:30 p.m. CT)

With less than 24 hours before kickoff, linebacker Noah Mikhail is no longer listed, meaning the Aggie linebacker corps will be at full strength come Saturday.

However, the Aggies will be without wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman, who went from “questionable” to “out.” Bethel-Roman has only appeared in give games and hasn’t played since A&M’s Oct. 10 loss at Mizzou.

On the other side, Donovan Murph is also no longer listed for the Gamecocks.

The only game day attention, at least from an availability standpoint, per these reports, will be paid to A&M freshman running back KJ Edwards, who told the local media on Tuesday that he’s “good to go.”

The Ags and Gamecocks will kick off at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 7, and the game at Williams-Brice Stadium will be televised on ESPN.

Thursday’s Update

After appearing “questionable” on Wednesday evening, KJ Edwards’ status is unchanged, while Noah Mikhail has been upgraded to “probable.” A freshman from Carthage, Edwards is A&M’s leading rusher with 360 yards and two touchdowns. A sophomore linebacker, Mikhail is second on the club with 36 tackles, 15 of which are solo stops and one has gone for lost yardage.

The only new addition for the Aggies is wideout Ashton Bethel-Roman, who is “questionable.” The sophomore has caught just seven passes for 56 yards in five games this season.

As for South Carolina, Donovan Murph has been upgraded to “probable,” while Jordan Thomas and J’Zavien Currence are officially “out.” Murph, a sophomore, has 11 receptions for 205 yards and three scores through eight games. A 6-foot-5, 316-pound junior, Thomas has made just seven tackles, and the rookie Currence has 24 stops and one sack in 2026.

Wednesday’s Initial Report

Much of the focus was likely paid to freshman running back KJ Edwards, who saw his carry total dwindle in the second half of A&M’s loss at Alabama in Week 8. On Monday, head coach Mike Elko addressed that Edwards has been “nicked” on multiple occasions throughout the year, which seems to have been the case in Tuscaloosa.

On Wednesday, Edwards — who is the Aggies’ leading rusher — was listed as “Questionable,” as is second-year linebacker Noah Mikhail.

Star receiver Mario Craver, who has caught 30 passes for 286 yards and three touchdowns, is a full-go to begin the week. This comes after Craver had appeared on the availability report ahead of each of A&M’s last three conference games, with the junior playing in all three but sitting out the non-conference drubbing of The Citadel in Week 7.

Prior to A&M’s bye week, it was already known that wide receivers Terry Bussey and Kelshaun Johnson, along with offensive lineman Blake Ivy, are out for the remainder of 2026.

For Shane Beamer’s South Carolina squad, six players are “out” this week, including running back Matt Fuller, who had surgery on Sunday morning but could return for the postseason. Wide receiver Donovan Murph, defensive lineman Jordan Thomas and defensive back J’Zavien Currence are all listed as “Questionable.”
