I talked with John Thornton at coaching school, and he kept telling me about the A&M sports management program. I went back and was an athletic director in Dallas, but I had the time and got my master's.
Getting my master’s was very challenging because I hadn't been in school for years. If I set my mind to something, I like to accomplish it. It was one of the things I wanted to do.
