South Carolina transfer LHP Logan Prisco commits to Aggie baseball

On Friday, former South Carolina left-hander Logan Prisco announced that he will transfer to Texas A&M to continue his collegiate career for the Fightin' Texas Aggies.

Originally from the Empire State, Prisco is the fifth pitcher to commit to the Maroon & White during the current portal window as Michael Earley & Co. attempt to overhaul a staff that owned a 5.24 ERA.

During his lone season with the Gamecocks, he was 1-0 with a 3.45 ERA in 28.2 innings pitched across 20 appearances that included two starts. As a sophomore in 2026, he struck out 34 batters against 17 walks as opponents hit .243 against him.

He came to Columbia after one year at Florence-Darlington Technical College, where he was considered an instant JUCO-to-D1 transfer ahead of the 2026 campaign.

While at FDTC, Prisco won 11 games and struck out 82 batters to rank first and second in Region 10 in those categories, respectively. He helped the Stingers reach the 2025 JUCO World Series with a fastball (88-91 mph), curveball (75-78) and changeup (79-80) mix.

Prisco prepped at Newfield High School in Selden, N.Y., but he did not pitch as a senior due to an injury. Still, Perfect Game rated him as the No. 22 overall player and sixth-best left-handed pitcher in the state of New York amongst the class of 2023. Between his time at Newfield and FDTC, he was at Elev8 Baseball Academy in the spring of 2024.

He becomes the eighth overall addition for Earley’s Aggies during the current portal window.
