• At the Coach Blair Charities 23rd Celebrity Golf Classic and Celebration Dinner, we plan on having 32 teams in the morning and 20 in the afternoon. Then we do the gala at the expo on Thursday at 6 p.m. We will have a silent live auction, our Special Olympians will be dancing, and there will be a bunch of celebrities.
   
• Robert Cessna is playing in the afternoon, so that's going to slow it down. I have to figure out how to speed up the play a little bit.
   
• I was a golf coach at South Oak Cliff. I took over in ‘72 when they asked for a volunteer to coach the golf team. My low golfer in the district meet went 127, and I don't think that was the true score. I think we had a little trouble counting.
   
• I love golf. I do not hunt or fish. My wife fishes. Vic Schaefer hunts, fishes, waterskis and does it all. He plays four handicap golf. I couldn’t do it all. But I love the golf ball. I love to hit, and I love to talk golf. If you’re out there, I'm going to find out more about you in four hours than I could in any interview.
   
• I watched Aggie baseball this weekend. Since I couldn't play, I was icing up, and I was listening to the Florida announcers. Please tell the announcers to describe the action because I had ice over my head, and all of a sudden, it's jus, “Skied.” You have to describe it for the people who cannot see. I listened to softball, baseball and golf yesterday.
   
• Mike Elko is wonderful. He's just a ball coach. He cares about relationships, and he’s got a GM that can figure out the money. Kids want to play here. Not just for the opportunity to start or what the dollar bill says. They want the culture of Texas A&M.
   
• Last weekend, they had the Adidas Tournament for women at Legends. I went to visit with all the coaches. We all go back a long way, and I can still evaluate talent right now. I don't remember their names, but I can see the talent.
   
• Come out on Thursday night first. It’s $30 for all-you-can-eat Roadhouse. There will be a silent auction and a great dinner with Bucky McMillan, RC Slocum and Jamie Morrison, our championship volleyball coach. We have a lot of good items, and if you're a man of all sports, we have it all.
