On Saturday, Dametrious Crownover joined a long list of Texas A&M offensive linemen to be taken in the NFL Draft.
Crownover — a 6-foot-7, 321-pound tackle — was selected in the sixth round of the draft by the New England Patriots.
He’s the 13th A&M offensive lineman drafted since the Aggies moved into the Southeastern Conference in 2012.
Chase Bisontis and Trey Zuhn III were selected earlier in the 2026 draft. Bisontis was taken in the second round by Arizona, and Zuhn was taken by Las Vegas in the third round.
Crownover turned heads at the Senior Bowl, where he was reportedly dominant in several one-on-one drills. He impressed again in February when he ran a 40-yard dash in 5.14 seconds and benched pressed 225 pounds 29 times at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
He came to Texas A&M in 2021 as a three-star 275-pound tight end prospect out of Grandview High School.
With his size and athletic ability, he was quickly shifted to tackle.
Crownover redshirted his first season. The next year, he appeared in eight games and started one. He appeared in all 13 games in 2023 and started in the Texas Bowl vs. Oklahoma State.
He moved into the starting lineup as a junior in 2024. He started every game at right tackle that year and last season.
