Texas A&M adds former Georgia DE Sam M'Pemba via transfer portal

Mike Elko and the Aggies have reeled in another major need through the transfer portal ranks, with former Georgia EDGE Sam M’Pemba announcing his intentions to join the Aggie football program.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, M’Pemba was a five-star recruit coming out of IMG Academy in the class of 2023, but he is originally from Olivette, Missouri. During his senior year, he posted 36 tackles, including 24 solo stops,14 TFLs and 4.5 sacks.

In 2023, for the Bulldogs, M’Pemba played in 10 games and posted six tackles. In 2024, he saw action in the first four games.

M’Pemba will have three years of eligibility left and serves as a huge addition for Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie to replace production headed to the NFL Draft.
