On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as the fall continues. Football will play USC in the Vegas Bowl, volleyball advances to the Sweet 16 for the first time in five years and much more.
Football
Mike Elko & Co. accepted an invitation to the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas and will face USC of the Big Ten on Dec. 27 at 9:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
The transfer portal officially opens on Monday, Dec. 9.
Men’s Basketball
Texas A&M has won four straight as the 22nd-ranked Aggies took down Texas Tech on a neutral floor on Sunday afternoon in Fort Worth.
Next up, a road trip to Purdue on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 11 a.m.
Women’s Basketball
Texas A&M women's basketball was outplayed on Sunday afternoon at Reed Arena as No. 13 Kansas State drubbed the Aggies 89-50.
With the loss, the Maroon & White are now 5-5 with just two non-conference games remaining, the next being Texas Southern next Monday. SEC play begins on Jan. 2.
Volleyball
Behind a career night from Logan Lednicky, Texas A&M knocked off Arizona State in four sets as the Aggies are headed to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
In the Aggie victory, the All-SEC first-teamer Lednicky posted 27 kills, 11 digs and hit at a .500 clip.
A&M will next face No. 2 seed Wisconsin on Friday night at 6 p.m.
