Hat's off to South Carolina. They did what we thought was unlikely. They destroyed A&M on all fronts.

They ran the ball at will and made throws when needed. They shutdown our running game and clogged the center.

They also played a very clean game, especially on a penalty front.

A&M showed a lot of question marks. I knew the passing D was poorly ranked but the defensive line had notable issues and was the weak spot. We struggled with tackles and taking down the QB & RB. Offense did well in the first half but in the 2nd half, we couldn't fully connect. A lot of questionable play calls from running up the middle to going for it in our own 30 yard line multiple times. Penalties are terrible and then usually reflects poor coaching and discipline. Happened in multiple games.

Still have the opportunity to go 10-2 or 9-3. Gives you something to build on.

The total lack of fundamentals and discipline, especially on defense, is what cost us this game. There is no excuse for that type of regression this far along in the season. SC did nothing special to beat us. They just let us embarrass ourselves by running basic plays and relying on us to not be fundamentally sound.
