On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Live, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as fall sports continue. Football beat Bowling Green 26-20, soccer dropped a contest vs. Oklahoma and much more.

Football
The No. 25 Texas A&M football team picked up its third straight win Saturday night, defeating Bowling Green 26-20.

Notables:

  • Freshman QB Marcel Reed completed 16-of-29 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns. It marked his second consecutive game with multiple TD passes.
  • Reed’s career-high 91 yards on the ground made him the first Aggie quarterback to rush for 75-plus yards in back-to-back games since 2019 when Kellen Mond ran for 76 yards at Ole Miss (10/19) and 76 yards against Mississippi State (10/26). It marked the first time Reed has led the Aggies in rushing yards.
  • After catching the first touchdown pass of his career a week ago at Florida, sophomore TE Theo Melin Öhrström brought in a 27-yard strike to put the Aggies on the board early in the first quarter.
  • Sophomore DB Marcus Ratcliffe snuffed out a late Bowling Green drive with an interception in the end zone, giving him three straight games with a pick.
  • Ratcliffe became the first Aggie to record an interception in three straight games since Jason Glenn did the deed in 2000 against Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

The Aggies will head to AT&T Stadium to take on Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Men’s Basketball
Buzz Williams & Co. have received their first commitment in the class of 2025 as combo guard Jeremiah Green has given his verbal pledge to Texas A&M. At 6-foot-3, the Denton native is a consensus four-star prospect and is playing his senior year at Arizona Compass Prep.

Volleyball
After suffering their first loss of the year on Saturday night, Texas A&M volleyball had a quick turnaround and bounced back to defeat Troy on Sunday, 3-1. Now at 9-1 on the season, the Aggies begin Southeastern Conference play on Friday against Texas at Reed Arena.

Soccer
Texas A&M fell to the Oklahoma Sooners on Ellis Field, 2-1. After one week of Southeastern Conference action, the Maroon & White are 1-1 in league play.

Guerrieri & Co. will continue home play against Auburn (9-0-1, 1-0-1) on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.

Women’s Golf
The No. 9 Texas A&M women's golf team fired 12-under on Sunday to wrap up the Mason Rudolph Championship, finishing ninth.

Men’s Golf
The No. 19 Texas A&M men's golf team moved up five spots on day two and finish tied for sixth place at the Fighting Illini Invitational.
