2025 guard Jeremiah Green commits to Texas A&M basketball

The Texas A&M basketball program added the first piece to their 2025 recruiting class with four-star combo guard Jeremiah Green‍ announcing his commitment today.

Green picks the Aggies over LSU, Oklahoma, TCU and Mississippi State. He is an all-around guard who prides himself on his explosiveness, basketball IQ, playmaking ability and defense.

The 6-foot-3 Green has played for top prep school Sunrise Christian Academy and his hometown team Denton Guyer over the last three seasons. While at Sunrise Christian, Green averaged 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game as an underclassman on their varsity team. The Denton native returned home for his junior season where he led the Wildcats to a 25-10 record.

The newest Aggie recently decided to play his last season of high school ball for one of the best prep schools in the country at Arizona Compass Prep, which has an impressive pedigree of NBA talent as TyTy Washington, Maxwell Lewis and Jabari Walker all heard their names called in the 2022 and 2023 NBA Draft.

Buzz Williams is no stranger to recruiting talent from the DFW area. Veteran guards Wade Taylor IV and Manny Obaseki are both from the 2021 recruiting class and call Lancaster and Allen home, respectively, and Williams goes back to the DFW well for his lead guard in the 2025 class.

Rated as the No. 6 player in the state of Texas in 2025, Green is also a top 120 player overall in his class. The consensus four-star prospect will enter college with three years of national prep experience, which is more than anyone on A&M’s current roster.

Prep basketball has grown in popularity over the last few decades as high school players strive to separate themselves against higher levels of competition. Prep schools like Montverde Academy, IMG Academy, Prolific Prep, Oak Hill, Sunrise Christian and Arizona Compass continue to recruit the best public school players to their schools to offer more personalized training, a national schedule and higher levels of exposure.

Green has benefitted from this movement and proved he can compete at the highest level in high school, a valuable tool he’ll need as he joins A&M’s roster next summer.
