i think bryce anderson has the potential to be the best safety we have had in quite some time. it is his speed that really differentiates him from other great aggie safeties. he can come down hill with the best of then but his ability to play centerfield is what really makes him a great player.

Key notes from Olin’s thoughts on Anderson
- I have been high on Bryce Anderson since the day he got here. He is playing safety. They had him at nickel. He is a physical guy. He was meant to play safety. I think he is going to break out this year. He was playing safety when he had that interception against Alabama.
- Anderson has such speed. He was a quarterback in high school. He is athletic and has hand-eye coordination. Anderson is a reason to think A&M has more interceptions this year. The last time an A&M defensive back had more than two interceptions in a year? It was 2016.
- I will give the previous regime credit. They felt they were good enough at safety, and they wanted to get Anderson on the field, but he is a safety.
- I love this guy. I think he will be a big-time player. He makes plays. He is a more athletic, and this is not a shot at him, but Leon O’Neal Jr. He can make plays the way Leon made them.
- I anticipate him taking that next rung between being a good and being a great player.
- If you are corner, your best friend is the pass rushers. The other BFF is a free safety that can help you in coverage. Watch the NFL, the championship teams have brilliant safeties. That's why I beat my head in about the Cowboys.
