Shamier Little is an Olympic Champion.

On Saturday in Paris, former Texas A&M track star Shamier Little '17 helped the U.S. women’s 4x400-meter relay team dominate and secure gold at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Little, along with fellow Team USA members Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Gabby Thomas and Alexis Holmes, crossed the finish line in 3:15:27 to earn the golden achievement and a new American record.

Little recorded a 49.48 split to power the second-fastest race of all time, while the United States has now won the last eight Olympic medals in this event.

As the second Aggie to claim gold in Paris, Little is now a two-time Olympic medalist with silver already in her collection.

Little’s silver came just seven days ago as Team USA medaled in the mixed 4x400m relay. After a world record time of 3:08:80 in round one, the Americans posted a time of 3:07:07 to land a spot on the podium in second.

Behind America in the women’s 4x400m relay, Netherlands claimed silver, and Great Britain took home bronze.

While at Texas A&M, Little claimed three straight national titles in women's 400m hurdles. Her dominance in the event continued as she was crowned the USA Outdoor Track and Field 400m hurdle champion in 2015, 2018 and 2024.

She still holds Texas A&M's leading time in that event set in 2016.

With the historic victory, Little became the 14th Aggie to ever win a gold medal, with the most recent being Athing Mu (800m, 4x400m relay) and Khris Middleton (basketball) in 2020 and Bryce Deadmon (4x400m relay) in Tokyo and Paris.

It’s truly a golden achievement.
