On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Aggie baseball hired former assistant coach Michael Earley, five Aggies punched their ticket to the Olympics in Paris and more.

Baseball
After spending the last three seasons as A&M’s hitting coach, Michael Earley is officially the next head baseball coach at Texas A&M.

No assistant coaches have officially been announced via press releases. Reports say Washington HC Jason Kelly will be joining as A&M’s pitching staff. Caleb Longley was on the Longhorns staff in 2024 and is rumored to be joining at A&M.

Will Fox and Jason Hutchins are expected to remain on staff.

Recruiting
Mike Elko & Co. have added to their 2025 class as 2025 La Verne (CA) Bonita LB Noah Mikhail has committed to Texas A&M. Hailing from out west, Mikhail chose the Aggies over Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Florida State and plenty of others.

Track & Field
Five Aggies punched their ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Texas A&M greats Fred Kerley (100m), Jacob Wooten (pole vault), Maggie Malone (javelin) and Brandon Miller (800m) qualified for Team USA, while Lamara Distin ensured her spot for Jamaica in the high jump.

A reminder that the Olympics is Fri, Jul 26, 2024 – Sun, Aug 11, 2024.

Women’s Tennis
The national champion Texas A&M women's tennis team added graduate transfer ITA All-American Ava Hrastar from Ole Miss to the 2024-25 roster, head coach Mark Weaver announced Friday.

General
Boosted by eight top 10 NCAA finishes, Texas A&M surged to a No. 6 finish in the final 2023-24 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, which tied for the second highest effort in school history and was the best finish in more than a decade.
