On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Aggie baseball swept the Commodores, Aggie softball is even at Alabama, and women's tennis won their third straight SEC title. 


Women’s Tennis
The No. 11 Texas A&M women’s tennis team secured its third SEC regular season title in a row after sweeping No. 29 Alabama, 4-0, at the Mitchell Tennis Center on Sunday. The Aggies became the first team to three-peat since joining the SEC in 2012.

The Aggies begin preparing for the SEC Tournament in Athens with their first match set for Friday, April 19 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

Football
Former Texas A&M Athletics Director and Head Football Coach Jackie Sherrill was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame with the Class of 2024 by the TSHOF Board of Trustees in Waco.

Spring game is on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Kyle Field. 

Texas A&M added a pair of 2025 prospects in Denton Ryan offensive lineman Marcus Garcia‍ and Corona (CA) Centennial QB Husan Longstreet‍. 

Baseball
Texas A&M outscored Vanderbilt 36-6 this weekend as they swept the ‘Dores in dominant fashion. 

Texas A&M baseball is the nation's new No. 1 ranked team. It is the first time the Aggies have taken the top spot in the D1Baseball poll since 2016.

The Aggies conclude their five-game homestand with a midweek contest against Air Force at 4 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

Softball
No. 12 Texas A&M evened the series with No. 13 Alabama as the Aggies exploded for 17 runs on 13 hits.

Monday’s rubber match is slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch on SEC Network.

Women’s Golf
The No. 16 Texas A&M women’s golf team earned the No. 3 seed on Sunday at the 2024 SEC Championships at the par-70 Pelican Golf Club. The Aggies will face off against No. 6 seed Arkansas in the quarterfinals of match play on Monday.

Track & Field
Texas A&M’s Lianna Davidson claimed her fourth javelin title of the season, Sam Whitmarsh climbed the Aggie all-time ranks in the 1500m and Kimar Farquharson claimed the men’s 800m title at the Tom Jones Memorial Friday.

The Aggies return to home to close out their home slate Saturday, April 20, as they host the Alumni Muster.
