Around Aggieland (2/19)

February 19, 2024

On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as men's basketball and women's basketball both continue conference play and baseball and softball went undefeated this weekend.

In an Opening Weekend sweep of McNeese State at Blue Bell Park, the eighth-ranked Fightin' Texas Aggies outscored the visiting Cowboys 31-1.

Friday: 15-0
Saturday: 6-1
Sunday: 10-0

On Tuesday, the Aggies will face Incarnate Word at 4 p.m. at Blue Bell Park.

No. 25 Texas A&M improved to 5-0 in the Campbell/Cartier Classic and 9-0 overall by winning two games against No. 14 Oregon, San Diego State, and run-ruled Loyola Marymount.

The Maroon & White return to the Brazos Valley to host the Texas A&M Invitational beginning Thursday at 5:15 p.m. against Southeastern Louisiana at 5:15 p.m. at Davis Diamond.

The Aggies surrendered an alarming 18 makes from beyond the arc in Saturday's loss to No. 15 Alabama, 100-75. Conversely, Texas A&M continued to fire from long range without success, shooting 4-of-23 and taking another step back in the process.

They are now 15-10 and 6-6 in the league with a meeting with Arkansas on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Women’s basketball
Texas A&M is set to host No. 13 LSU tonight at 6 p.m. at Reed Arena.
