On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as men's basketball and women's basketball both rolled their conference opponents and the diamond sports get going this week.

Basketball
The Fightin' Texas Aggie men's basketball team stormed past the sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers, 89-69, on Saturday night to improve to 15-8 and 6-4 in the SEC.

Next up, at Vanderbilt on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

Women’s basketball
Texas A&M left no room for doubt to notch its second consecutive win on the road with Sunday's 61-44 trouncing. Janiah Barker, Endyia Rogers, and Aicha Coulibably combined for 41 points to help the Aggies hit .500 in the conference.

The victory marked Texas A&M’s first back-to-back SEC road wins since the 2020-21 season.

Softball
Trisha Ford and the 24th-ranked Fightin' Texas Aggies improved to 4-0 on the young season by winning both ends of Friday’s and Sunday’s doubleheader vs. Valpo, Lehigh and two games against Tulsa.

Baseball
We have Aggie baseball this week! Jim Schlossnagle’s Aggies will begin their season with a series against Wagner beginning on Friday.

Track & Field
Lamara Distin dominated the women’s high jump on the final day of the Tiger Paw Invitational, solidifying her position as the No. 1 high jumper in the nation and ranking third in the world.

Distin stole the show in the women's high jump as she cleared 1.97m/6-5.5 to capture the nation’s leading mark. Her jump ranks her No. 1 in the country, third in the world and it broke the Clemson Indoor Track facility record.
