On Monday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things Texas A&M as Mike Elko added its third and fourth additions out of the transfer portal and men's and women's basketball navigate their non-conference schedules.
Football
Mike Elko nabbed a pair of transfers out of the portal in Youngstown State LB Alex Howard and Louisiana Tech WR Cyrus Allen.
Howard: 1 year of eligibility,142 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and five sacks at YSU.
Allen: 2 years of eligibility, 68 receptions for 1,278 yards and eight touchdowns at LA Tech.
Men’s basketball
Even though Wade Taylor IV was playing out of his mind with 34 points and the Aggies erased a 21-point deficit in the second half, Texas A&M could not pull out the close victory against No. 4 Houston in the Halal Guys Showcase.
Two more non-conference games remain, both at Reed Arena, with the next one this Friday against HCU at 7 p.m.
Women’s basketball
The women’s team had a week off but will continue their December stretch at Reed Arena with a Dec. 18 matchup with Mississippi Valley State at 7 p.m.
