In this week's Apex Performances of the Week, we highlight Texas A&M women’s basketball’s Endyia Rogers for her performance in the Aggies’ 63-52 victory over Kansas at Reed Arena on Sunday as well as Alabama football for its showing in the SEC Championship in Atlanta.
David Nuño’s Performance of the Week: Alabama in the SEC Championship
-
I'll give Alabama their props. They beat Georgia, who had won 29 in a row. That's a big deal. I think Alabama deserves props. Nick Saban was already the GOAT, but he transformed a team that people thought would only win eight or nine games this year. They're in the playoffs after beating Georgia. Alabama has had a phenomenal season. I don't like to do this, but I have to give them their props.
Olin Buchanan’s Performance of the Week: Texas A&M’s Endyia Rogers
- Endyia Rogers. I went to the women's game on Sunday. In the second half especially, but for the whole game, this girl saved the Aggies. She was on fire. She hit a couple of 3-pointers. She had some steals. She helped get them some separation. I think she had 17 points. She was great in that game. She was really good. I bet 10 of those points came in the second half.
- The best coach ever in college football, Nick Saban, saw that their offense wasn't going to work, so they basically did what Buzz Williams did with Quenton Jackson a couple of years ago. They changed the way they operate to maximize the talent that they have for Jalen Milroe.
