Press Conference: Bjork addresses Fisher's dismissal as head coach

On Sunday evening, Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork spoke to the media about the decision to relieve Jimbo Fisher of his coaching duties. Bjork also discussed how the athletic department plans to address Fisher's buyout, the upcoming coaching search and more.

Walking away impressed. However, I'm not sure I believe that it was his decision to fire Jimbo. But heck, I don't know anything.

Interesting press conference.
Glad Ross gave the reason and how the decision was made to fire Fisher.and that it was not the BOR as many think.
Surprised he got scamed and played by Scott Woodard.
Would thought he was smarter than that.
We shall see.

Timing was just bad with Fisher.

Game passed him by, kind of. The changes in college football were too great as far as how you can now coach kids.

We need to be really careful. Proven coaches in the old way aren't what they used to be.

Bjork has accomplished zero, he has zero experience producing championship programs so for him to speak that way on Jimbo is hilarious.

He also COMPLETELY let us down with tu getting in the SEC, and I have zero confidence in him hiring the right football coach after Jimbo

His first hire was Jim Schlossnagle. Working out pretty well so far.

And I think you're just looking to point fingers with the tu thing. There were multiple angles to that, and having a snake of a commissioner has a lot to do with it.

Nailed it right here. Not sure why people can't see this. Bjork will be the next fall guy and sharp will continue to destroy A&M

Thought he did much better when he moved off of the prepared statements and started answering questions. The shot-callers knew we weren't going anywhere. We'll see how they fix it.

Fell on his sword my a**. For a mistake of this magnitude the person or people responsible should be separated from and NEVER have any authority over the school again. This reflects poorly on all Aggies. If we weren't a national laughing stock before we surely are now.

And Sharp we all know Bjork did nothing to bring this about.

Well, it is very disappointing the hiring, firing and funding hasn't improved and changed since I went to school there (1974 - 1978).

Fire Bjork! If we can get rid of these clowns that don't express good Aggie values, then maybe, A&M can hire someone that does. Just another example of cold-hearted firing methods.

I wrote my comments before I listened to Bjork press conference. Fisher's firing should have been done after the season was over. My comments stand.
