The Aggie defense has only allowed one TD in 12 quarters of football. Pretty impressive! The only TD came from DeBerry not covering a deep receiver very well.

Apex Performance of the Week: Texas A&M's dominant defense
In this week's Apex Performance of the Week, we highlight Texas A&M's dominant defense, including Edgerrin Cooper, McKinnley Jackson, Walter Nolen, Shemar Turner and Enai White, as well as Le'Veon Moss and Ainias Smith, who also tore it up for the Aggies against the Hogs.
David Nuño’s Performance of the Week: Edgerrin Cooper & Le’Veon Moss
- Edgerrin Cooper was incredible. He had six tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks.
- How about the Aggie defense overall? They had 15 tackles for loss and seven sacks in an SEC game against a team that you were a 6.5-point favorite, and we took them to the woodshed. In a series that's tight, it did not feel like it.
- Le'Veon Moss had 17 carries for 107 yards out there. He was phenomenal out there with a 6.3 average. He was great. I think he scored a touchdown on the last play of the game. I didn't hear a whistle, but I got a video. I am sticking with it.
- We have to mention the SEC's Special Teams Player of the Week: Ainias Smith.
Olin Buchanan’s Performance of the Week: A&M’s D-Line & Ainias Smith
- There are so many. Edgerrin Cooper. He had six tackles and two sacks. He had big sacks. He was everywhere. I thought he was an Apex Predator. I know he likes to hunt Hogs. Hopefully, he likes to hunt elephants too.
- The whole defensive line was impressive. McKinnley Jackson, Walter Nolen, Shemar Turner and Enai White.
- Imagine the Aggie defense if they weren't put in a position that was difficult for them. Seventeen points came directly off of turnovers.
- I remember against Auburn, Le'Veon Moss was hit in the backfield, and he spun out of the tackle. We should have learned then that Moss should have the ball on third and short.
- AFS. Ainias Freakin' Smith. He is a freak. Both of those punt returns were impressive. He picked up that muffed punt and had a lot of pigs chasing him.
