Texas A&M football season tickets are sold out for the 2023 campaign with fans purchasing nearly 93,000 tickets, which is a record for Kyle Field since the Home of the 12th Man was redeveloped in 2015, the athletics department announced.
The total season tickets purchased in 2023 includes a record number of nearly 39,000 student sports passes including guest season tickets, ensuring the nation’s largest student section will be sold out this season.
The Texas A&M football team saw six Aggies earn Preseason Coaches All-SEC recognition, announced by the league Tuesday after a voting process by all 14 SEC head coaches.
- First Team: Ainias Smith (All-purpose player)
- Second Team: Ainias Smith (Return specialist), Nik Constantinou, McKinnley Jackson, Demani Richardson and Evan Stewart
- Third Team: Ainias Smith (Wide receiver) and Layden Robinson
Basketball
Texas A&M junior guard Wade Taylor IV was tabbed as preseason first-team All-SEC and Player of the Year by Jon Rothstein of College Hoops Today.
Taylor IV, from Dallas, Texas, is coming off a breakout sophomore campaign in 2022-23 that saw him earn first-team All-SEC honors from the Associated Press and by vote of the league coaches. He was also a third-team All-American by Stadium.com’s basketball insider, Jeff Goodman.
Last season, Taylor IV was one of just three NCAA DI players with 500+ points, 125+ assists and 50+ steals while making 85 percent or better on free throw attempts.
Volleyball
First-year head coach Jamie Morrison opens his debut season at the helm of A&M volleyball at the Omaha Invite. A&M's first match of the invite is versus the hosts, Omaha, in the programs' first ever meeting at Friday at 7 p.m. The Aggies conclude their invite on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. versus Pepperdine, a 2022 NCAA Tournament team.
