On Friday’s edition of TexAgs Radio, Kay Naegeli took us Around Aggieland and provided updates on all things A&M as summer is winding down as football season is just 22 days away. Baseball has been active in the transfer portal, picking up Standford star Braden Montgomery.

Texas A&M Athletics is set to graduate 16 student-athletes during summer commencement ceremonies on Aug. 12 at Reed Arena. Commencement ceremonies will take place at Reed Arena on Saturday.

Football
Only 22 days until Aggie football!
- Texas A&M football's Edgerrin Cooper was selected to the Butkus Award Preseason Watch List, announced Thursday morning by Butkus Foundation. The Butkus Award annually recognizes the top linebacker in the nation.
- Demani Richardson was named to the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Preseason Watch List, announced by the Oklahoma Sports Club and Jim Thorpe Association Thursday morning. The award is given annually to the best defensive back in college football based on performance on the field, athletic ability and character.
Basketball
Aggie basketball has been competing in the Bahamas against international competition.
- Game 1: A&M beat Raw Elite Talent from The Bahamas, 100-49.
Solomon Washington led the team in scoring with 17 points going a perfect 7-of-7 from the field. He matched Andersson Garcia's nine boards.
Game 2: A&M beat Bc Zalgiris Kaunas, 89-59.
- Wade Taylor and Tyrece Radford both scored 15 points.

The Texas A&M men’s basketball team opens play at the ESPN Events Invitational over the Thanksgiving weekend against Penn State on Thursday, Nov. 23 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, ESPN Events announced.
The Aggies will then face either Florida Atlantic or Butler on Nov. 24 in the second round. The final round takes place on Nov. 26 with possible opponents Iowa State, VCU, Boise State or Virginia Tech. All three days of action can be seen on the ESPN family of networks.
Baseball
Jim Schlossnagle & Co. have added perhaps the best player from the current transfer portal cycle as former Stanford two-way star Braden Montgomery has committed to A&M. A career .315 hitter with 35 homers, Montgomery comes to Aggieland with two years of eligibility left.
Soccer
The Aggies next play in their second and final exhibition match against Texas State on Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m. CT.
