• Look at how these Heisman races have gone. It went to Robert Griffen III, then Johnny Manziel then Jameis Winston. It seems to go that way. Then it was Bryce Young in his first year as a starter. There's always someone to infiltrate, and Devon Achane fills that criteria. The Heisman has become a quarterback-heavy award. 
   
• He's electric on the field. He has a resume where his numbers should significantly jump this year. National guys haven't asked about Achane. He's unbelievable. If you watch his highlights, against Alabama, he made an incredible over-the-shoulder catch. The kickoff return made Alabama's cover unit look slow. You will see incredible plays. He was the MVP of the Orange Bowl. 
   
• If you watch every touch, he averages seven yards a carry. That was a quiet seven too because he was backing up Isaiah Spiller. On half his carries, he's one trip-up away from housing it. You think he might go. 
   
• He's been a game-changer since high school. We went to watch Achane in high school at Fort Bend Marshall. He ran 80 yards to the house, and it was called back for a penalty, Then he took it 90 yards to the house. He is an all-around football player. 
   
• Certain things remind you of Reggie Bush. It’s his ability to score at any time. Find me a better skill position player in the SEC than Achane. There are a few of them, but they haven't done as much as Achane has done. Achane is as good or better than Bryce Young. If I'm listing them, you go Bryce at one. Achane is second. He is special. They don't come around too often.
   
• You combine him with Evan Stewart and Ainias Smith, if they get the quarterback and offensive line thing right, you can beat a team that you're better than talent wise, and this could be a team that can make a lot of noise and pop up in real conversations.
