Tough. Very tough. Had reasons to be optimistic heading into today's game but just didn't pan out. Sloppy weekend... Frustrating because self inflicted mistakes have reared their head at times this year for us. Talent wise this is a tournament team but letting some fundamentals get in the way and not consistently playing sound baseball. Will definitely need to refocus and clean things up some because the schedule obviously gets extremely difficult. In the SEC the margin for error is so thin, every team is super talented... We're good enough to be a tourney team no doubt, but just have to play cleaner.

Was a little worried about Dallas today after the midweek... Thought he settled in well in the 2nd & 3rd innings but then ran into the trouble. Command just wasn't what it normally is. Who knows if having to go on Sunday had anything to do with it, stuff looked OK, maybe not quite as sharp as normal but he was just missing spots more than anything. I'm sure it won't linger. We are walking too many guys in general though... It's so difficult to win like that. Just need to attack more, trust your stuff.

The good news is that there's a ton of schedule left and this team has proven it's capable of some fantastic wins. Immediately a great chance at a rebound against Texas State... If they were to win that one and/or the DBU game, you could almost view that as a very good non-con series win along with the @ Texas win. Bounce back Tuesday and then win the series against Kentucky... Keep competing and grinding & improving.
