One of the best press conferences I've ever watched. As devastated as we all are I don't think we can fathom the depth of disappointment from the team and coaches.

Buzz's speech needs to get traction and taken seriously leading to changes in the flawed system. The job of the committee is to select the best team based only on the season. The name of a school should not count and neither should it's basketball history;" ie, "blue blood" or "out of the blue." The snub was clearly wrong. No committee member can rationally refute what Buzz said. Every member should admit that the committee failed...sloppy at best.

is 8 some sort of magic number? 6 of those were quad 1 games and we were in all but 1. Indiana lost 7 of 9 and 5 in a row. We beat Notre dame head to head. Wyoming was bad and very poor metric wise down the stretch. Rutgers had terrible losses in their "body of work".

I agree that none of this will change anything but this is who Buzz is and I credit him for sticking up for his guys. Going into Tampa, in no way should the committee's discussion been "the only thing A&M can do to make this is win the SEC AQ". Plain and simple.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. You must have not watched Buzz's press conference.

His point was that if the committee had taken the FULL body of work - through the tournaments, and removed all team or conference association data and just compared the full resumes, there is no mathematical way that A&M would not have gotten an invite.

I agree with Buzz. If you somehow feel the 8 losses can be mathematically justified someway to keep the Ags out of the tournament, please post your work here.

Otherwise, your statement reeks of the same mindless BS that is being spouted as justifications for the Ags being left out.

Excellent commentary by Coach.

I sensed from his words of uncertainty after the loss to UT in the championship game that he knew no NCAA Tourney invitation was coming. The successful, impressive run in the tourney was meaningless without winning it. Shame on the selection committee.

Let's see,....Coach already laid out the research that clearly indicates the team should have gotten an invite and put it in writing to show anyone interested as to why this claim is true. The research was open for rebuttal and I have found none. However, I have found many that agree with Coach. The Selection Committee can't answer Coach's questions or explain why we weren't selected (the people that make the decisions for invites). The media took Coach's video and research and went viral. Sports outlets agree with Coach. Coach Dickie V states we were robbed. Yet, you feel an 8 game skid is the deciding factor for not receiving an invite and then doubled down on it. How is it that all the professionals that work in college basketball for a living missed your point of an 8 game skid being the deciding factor? Even the Selection Committee couldn't come to your conclusion for Coach to return to the team and convey that message. You should personally call Coach and let him know your answer.
