The no. 1 moment should be getting Bobby Taylor.

Recruiting Country: The latest recruiting news surrounding the Maroon & White
TexAgs Recruiting analyst Ryan Brauninger joined this morning for another edition of Recruiting Country, highlighting the latest news and notes from the recruiting trail as the attention turns entirely to the Class of 2023.
Key notes from Recruiting Country
- This afternoon, Jason and I are sitting down for an In-Home Visit to go behind the curtain of the historic 2022 class for Texas A&M. Some fun content where we can tell stories from behind the scenes that we can't fully report on while the recruitments are still going.
- Another piece I've got coming down the pipe is this: Over a two-week period, I'm going to highlight the top 10 moments of the 2022 cycle. What were the key dates, and what happened during those events. Things like the pool party, the Alabama game, etc. It's pretty apparent No. 1 will be the pool party... but what's your order after that? It's an interesting discussion.
- Another thing to think about when you look at this class as a whole is the uncertainty of the programs around Texas A&M in the region. A new coach at LSU, a new coach at Oklahoma, and a 5-7 record in Austin all played into this.
- When you're looking at the 2023 cycle, there's no reason to get wound up right now with what's being reported at other schools after junior days and things of that nature. It doesn't matter what's being said and pushed out as absolute is not the case. There will be moments ahead as a benchmark for a moment on the 2022 class, but I don't think we're there yet.
- This 2023 class is starting to grow on me as I dig further into it and start to find more prospects. I think this is a class with many really good players from small towns. Rueben Owens out of El Campo, Bravion Rogers from La Grange, Bryson Washington in Franklin all the way to Dalton Brooks down in Shiner. There is a lot of guys in this class that I think you could see blow up this spring/summer during the camp circut.
- Just a reminder here, we haven't talked about this on the show yet; the TexAgs Top 100 for 2023 is now up to date. I highly recommend looking at that to help you get a lay of the land in Texas for the next class.
