During Monday's edition of TexAgs Radio, Richard Zane joined to take us Around Aggieland and provided updates from the gridiron and beyond as it was a busy weekend for Texas A&M Athletics.


Football (8-3, 4-5 in SEC)
On Saturday, Texas A&M closed out its home slate with a 52-3 win over Prairie View A&M at Kyle Field.

  • Prior to the game, the Aggies honored their seniors during a Senior Day ceremony.
  • Antonio Johnson’s hard-hitting ability lead to a defensive touchdown after he forced a fumble that was returned 17 yards by Aaron Hansford.

  • Seth Small surpassed Randy Bullock as Texas A&M’s all-time scorer with a second-quarter field goal. Small currently has 371 career points.
  • Zach Calzada finished 10-of-14 for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Muhsin Muhammad III caught five passes for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

  • In the second half, the Aggies got a number of youngsters into the game as running back Amari Daniels finished with 70 yards on eight careers. LJ Johnson Jr. finished with 60 yards on 11 runs.

With the win, Texas A&M has moved up in the poles.

  • College Football Playoff Rankings will be released on Tuesday night.

Texas A&M travels to Baton Rouge on Saturday night to close the regular season with the LSU Tigers.

Men’s Basketball (4-0, 0-0 in SEC)
Buzz Williams & Co. begin play in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational at Mandalay Bay’s Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas on Monday.

  • Monday: Texas A&M vs. Wisconsin (2-1) - 1:00 p.m. CT on ESPN2
  • Tuesday: Texas A&M vs. Butler OR No. 15 Houston - Time and TV TBA
  • The tournament concludes on Wednesday.

Women’s Basketball (4-0, 0-0 in SEC)
No. 24 Texas A&M will be spending Thanksgiving in the U.S. Virgin Islands as the Aggies play in the 2021 Paradise Jam in St. Thomas.

  • Thursday: Texas A&M vs. Pittsburgh - 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3
  • Friday: Texas A&M vs. South Dakota - 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3
  • Saturday: Texas A&M vs. Northwestern - 7:00 p.m. CT on ESPN3

Volleyball (12-14, 5-11 in SEC)
Texas A&M’s losing streak reached five games on Sunday afternoon as the Aggies fell to LSU in five sets.

  • 9-25, 20-25, 25-13, 34-32, 12-15
  • Lauren Davis had a match-high 19 kills. Morgan Christon contributed 18 kills.
  • Camille Conner had 49 assists.
  • Camryn Ennis and Allison Fields each had 14 digs.

The Aggies return to Reed Arena this weekend when they host Missouri for a pair of matches.
