2023 Zachary (LA) quarterback Eli Holstein commits to Texas A&M
It didn’t take Jimbo Fisher and Darrell Dickey very long to land their next signal-caller as 2023 QB Eli Holstein out of Zachary, Louisiana, has given his verbal pledge to the Aggies. The 6-3.5, 215-pounder becomes A&M’s second commitment of the 2023 cycle, joining Wylie East defensive end Anthony James.
Holstein possesses the prototypical frame and arm strength needed to be an elite pocket passer in SEC. He’s got a short, compact delivery and shows a good feel for the pocket. While not necessarily considered a dual-threat, Holstein uses his feet and awareness to slide in the pocket and flashes plus-functional mobility traits. You can view his sophomore highlights below.
Holstein chose Texas A&M over scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Utah, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and many others.
