Key notes from Pat Henry interview

• I think you need those days off at this time of the year. It's not really a recovery day, but you can plan your training better when you do not compete every weekend. It is beneficial for us not to run every weekend.
   
• We have had a few COVID-19 issues, but I don't want to talk about that more than that. It will affect us on both sides. It's not a great situation, but we have been dealt that card. We will get through it.
   
• Bryce Deadmon needs to have a good weekend. Allon Clay and Brandon Miller needs to step up and get in the mix. Our long jumper is capable of hitting a big jump. Connor Schulman needs to have one of his better runs as well. Josh Brown has the potential to score.
   
• I think our women's team has the potential. We're not coming into this meet how I would want to on both sides. We're dealing with the card we're dealt right now. I don't know who else is affected this weekend, but we certainly are this weekend.
   
• Our 4x400 group may need a substitute or two. Tyra Gittens needs to have a good weekend for herself, and she has been very consistent this year. Charokee Young is a name that gets lost at times, but she's in a position to run fast and has trained very well.
   
• Laila Owens will get back on the track after not being able to train for 10 days.
   
• Our hurdlers must run well. They'll need their best, and maybe then some, to get into the scoring this weekend.
   
• The last couple of days as a coach have not been very pleasant. Every coach is going through this. We will just get everything we got out of the people that are here. We will get through this weekend, hopefully healthy, before going to the NCAA Championships.
