Is this really up for debate?

"Former Texas A&M linebacker Brian Gamble summed up the thoughts of Aggies everywhere with his quiet celebration of A&M's 20-16 victory over the University of Texas at Kyle Field in 1999, the year that Bonfire collapsed and killed 12 students at A&M." -- The Eagle
"You can't put it into words. A game like this is something you wish for all your life. When we came out the second half, we saw that the crowd didn't give up... and believed in us." -A&M QB, Randy McCown, following a 20-16 upset of No. 5 t.u. November 26, 1999.

One of the most iconic pics from the '98 championship season (2nd only to maybe Sirr Parker's game winning TD vs KSU in Big XII championship game)

Chris Cole taking it to the house on a Randy McCown pass in route to a victory over a then #2 Nebraska......

Do not post opposing views or you too, like me, will become a shadow of your former self.

That's #42 Chris Taylor.

Chris Cole was #80

It was 3rd and like 25 and McKown avoids the rush and hits him in stride.

I have mixed feelings on this pic. It came about in a really bad era for our team and always made me see defeat. But it is a cool photo to look at. So I both dislike and like it

What bad Era? This is from 1997 tu game, which we won to go 11-3 since the 1984 game. We had won 9 conference/division championships, including probation years, and had the greatest home field advantage in college football.

I remember it being from about the 03 or 04 season. That is when i first remember seeing it. I very well could be wrong.

So far we already have a Chris Cole/Taylor mistake and a "bad era for football" comment about a photo from a memorable rivalry game that we won in season where we also won the division.

Defining images indeed.

I don't know how to post pictures but I always loved the sports illustrated cover photo of Bubba Bean after we beat the sips in 1975.
Great picture and great memories.

Who can forget when Pardee, Holland, Nguyen, and Coryatt and Buckley stopped Bo Jackson in the Cotton Bowl!

Greatest, or most defining?

Greatest might well be the game winning field goal vs Florida last year. I think that will prove to be a monumental moment going forward.

Runner up would be stopping Bo Jackson in the Cotton Bowl, leading to more than a decade of success.

Most defining is the moment Greg Hill fumbled thru the endzone in the 92 Cotton Bowl vs Florida State.
Convert that, and convert one or two more of the opportunities and dropped passes we had early in that game, and we win by14+ and finish #2 or #3.

I think getting over that hump and winning the big game on a national stage totally changes our program (and maybe Florida State's) going forward.
