With revenge promised, Aggies and Tigers set to face off in Death Valley
The offense was setting records. The quarterback was on the way to winning the Heisman Trophy. He had two of the best receivers in the Southeastern Conference. There was a productive, yet somewhat under-appreciated, running back.
That was 2012. There certainly are some similarities to Texas A&M’s high-powered offense from seven years ago and LSU’s offense this season.
Like Johnny Manziel, LSU’s Joe Burrow appears on his way to winning the Heisman Trophy. Like Mike Evans and Ryan Swope, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are among the league’s best receivers.
