The Texas A&M Aggies escaped Oxford with a 24-17 win over Ole Miss despite a late scare from the Rebels. A&M quarterback Kellen Mond threw for 172 yards and a touchdown. The junior racked up 76 yards on the ground as well.

Both teams traded three-and-outs on their opening drives. However, the Aggies were the first team to score – a 24-yard chip shot field goal by Seth Small to end a 73-yard drive.

I know there are a lot of areas to improve upon, but we did win on the road.

Hats off to a determined team who just would not give up. To be fair, the Aggies are showing improvement, and on the path that gets better each week. I for one am very proud of this team.
Gig 'em!
