Great interview and one of my favorite all time players.
If only we had someone like him on the D today he would not allow all these 2nd half meltdowns.
Where is the next Domingo?
Is he on the team today?

After the 1986 Cotton Bowl, I almost named my first born Domingo Bryant. He was great

I rode the elevator up the Ed building with him a few times on Friday afternoons. I was in grad school and he was getting attendance verification signatures from his profs so he could play.

A nice young man ... except when on the field. He sure could play.

I just listened to the interview. First of all - Gabe, Rusty, Brandon -- great job - one of the all time great Aggie fan favorites. The thing that stuck out to me what his discussion of the '84 TCU game. I had forgotten, but what needs to be said is that we had just come off of an incredibly brutal loss to Arkansas - we were at a turning point where the team could have spiraled down the tube. Fans were in the stands circulating petitions calling for Jackie's head. The team - and I mean the team led by Ray Childress - made a decision that they were not going to take it anymore even though fans were jumping ship. The outcome was a beat down on TCU that was heading to the conference championship followed by the incredible win against t.u. in Memorial Stadium. The rest, as they say, is history!

I wish that there was some way that this year's team could huddle up with some of these guys and listen to what they have to say. Our guys are at the same point - which way are we going to go? I say we can do it, but it is up to the players to decide that is what they want in their hearts.

Domingo epitomized the Aggie heart and spirit. His block against t.u. on the field goal will go down as one of my all-time favorite individual plays. He made it happen when it looked as if t.u. was going to sneak back in the game - it was a defining moment in A&M football history. We need another one now!!!

Thanks Domingo!!!!!! This old Ag will never forget the memories that you brought!

Domingo always had a knack for making a great play at the right time. Blocked kicks, blocked punts, INT's. One of my all time favorite Ags.

I was at the 1986 TCU game. 74-10 was the final if I remember correctly. We had over 800 yards of offense. Kevin Murray was spectacular that year.

The TCU game he was referring to was the 1984 TCU game - 35-21 in favor of the good guys if my memory is correct. Knocked TCU out of their first trip to the Cotton bowl in a long time.

I'll never forget that TCU game and the tu game the next week. That was the start of a great run.

To get an idea of how a lot of us felt: We played tu in Austin, and were leading them 30-0 in the 4th Qtr and were still afraid we would lose the game
