2019 Dunbar (FL) DE Derick Hunter signs with Texas A&M
Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M have been on a roll leading up to Signing Day and today the momentum continued when Fort Myers (FL) Dunbar defensive lineman Derick Hunter flipped his commitment from Florida State and signed with Texas A&M.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Hunter is a versatile lineman who projects to strongside defensive end and defensive tackle on the college level. He is an explosive presence in the trenches noted for his length, a quick first step, and a powerful punch.
Hunter chose the Aggies over Florida State, Florida, and Miami, and he becomes the Aggies 25th commitment of the 2019 class recruiting class. He joins a defensive line group which includes DeMarvin Leal, Adarious Jones, Josh Ellison, and Braedon Mowry, and he will enroll at Texas A&M in January.
The Aggies hosted Hunter for an official visit in early October. He also took visits to Miami, Florida, and Florida State.
