Texas A&M Volleyball took to Reed Arena tonight to play Missouri State University, but ultimately fell short in five sets, 25-11, 24-26, 25-15, 19-25, 11-15.

Tonight’s match was filled with eye-catching stats. Brookah Palmer led the team in kills with a total of 24. Hollann Hans followed closely behind with 17 kills and 12 digs while Morgan Davis added 13 kills. Camille Conner broke records and had 61 assists and 5 blocks which is her season high.

When it comes to Missouri State they are a good defensive team. Coach Laura Kuhn said, “when we play good defensive teams you have to keep attacking and be smart and change up our shots.” Allison Fields and libero Amy Houser also recorded their season high in digs splitting 40 total between the two of them.

“Missouri State’s a good team. I’ve played against them for a while, but at the end of the day we had opportunities to finish in the fourth set and the fifth and we needed to execute,” said Coach Kuhn.

The Aggies will be traveling to Norman, Oklahoma to participate in the OU/Nike Invitational September 14-15. They are slated to play both Oklahoma University and Northwestern State.

Brookah Palmer said, “I’m definitely really fired up to go into OU, especially after tonight. I think tonight was a real learning experience for us and then this week of practices we’re going to hit it hard.”

They will be back in Reed Arena September 19 at 7p.m. as they take on their first conference game of the season against Arkansas.
